This policy sets out the purpose and scope of the user deletion policy.
The policy applies to all users of the App, whether Tradespeople or end users of the multi-user App.
Once all data including (but not limited to) trade certifications, insurance policy details, and driver’s license details have been reviewed by Trades’Up Ltd (Trades’Up) and relevant details separately recorded, all data provided shall be deleted.
Subject to the obligations under the "Data Retention Period", a Tradesperson or user may request Trades’Up to delete their data at any time.
Upon receiving such a request, Trades’Up shall promptly delete the data unless professional advice is received indicating that the data should not be deleted.
If professional advice advises against deletion, Trades’Up will inform the user with the reasons provided.
All deletion requests must be made via email to support@tradesup.co.nz.
A log of user deletion requests will be maintained by Trades’Up. After the data is deleted, Trades’Up may, at its discretion, remove the corresponding log entry.
Logs are securely stored and accessible only to authorised Trades’Up personnel or professional advisers.
Only authorised personnel (Director or Developer of Trades’Up) have access to the database for data deletion.
Data will be permanently removed using industry-standard protocols to ensure it is not accessible after deletion, either accidentally or maliciously.
This policy complies with applicable privacy laws and regulations, including the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its amendments.
Trades’Up will cooperate fully with relevant regulatory or statutory authorities as required.
Trades’Up will ensure appropriate personnel are trained on this policy and its procedures.
The company promotes a culture of privacy and data protection within the organisation.
This policy will be reviewed and updated regularly to remain compliant with evolving laws and industry standards.
